There Isn’t Anything

4 rear projection screens arranged loosely in a square display each woman’s face separately, next to one another.

The women came to my studio and talk to me about their regrets on camera, I then taped them silently afterwards. I am interested in the stories that we do not always hear. We all live with these common and compelling stories of grief and disappointment. What was most interesting to me, is that these women were all talking about relationships, between parent and child, lovers, bosses. All of the regrets were about relationships.

As an installation, there are 4 projection screens all hanging in a square in the middle of an otherwise empty gallery. The sound should be loud enough so it envelopes the room.

The sound is layered on top of one another to create a cacophony of sound. You can hear phrases that create intrigue, but just out of reach to the listener.
